Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for a logistics supervisor in Clarksville, TN to lead inbound/outbound activities and optimize operations. You will oversee staff, ensure productivity, and drive cost-saving measures while maintaining safety and policy compliance.

The role requires 3 years in logistics with 1 year in supervision, MHE certification preferred, and proficiency in MS Office, RF scanners, and WMS functions. Must be able to work nights/weekends in a on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities and assure continuous improvement.
• Ensure development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner in accordance with company policies.
• Manage operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals.
• Implement and report ongoing cost savings measures.
• Train new staff and keep informed of quantity and quality of jobs being performed throughout the day.
• Assign duties to appropriate warehouse staff and assess priorities based on time sensitivity and available resources.
• Provide input for annual performance reviews for team members.
• Support adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Deliver results by leveraging the skills of the right people at the right time.

Requirements

• Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation (preferred).
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• RF Scanners.
• WMS functions.
• Good organizational and personnel skills.
• Basic to intermediate level of mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
