Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to lead our warehouse operations on a full-time basis. The role is Mon-Sat with varied start times, and requires hands-on leadership in packing, shipping, receiving and inventory control.

You will support the Branch Manager, supervise the warehouse team, ensure accuracy and safety, and drive continuous improvement in processes and throughput. A proven track record in logistics and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in a management role.
• Experience in vending/foodservice preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse team and manage packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory.
• Support Branch Manager in safe, efficient operation of the Warehouse.
• Prepare items for shipping and manage inventory controls.
• Coordinate incoming/outgoing shipping activities and rectify discrepancies.
• Conduct inventory counts and report results.
• Order warehouse supplies and manage departmental needs.
• Develop and maintain an effective department and train staff.

Job description

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role of Warehouse Supervisor/Manager, Full-time. The schedule for this position is Monday through Saturday. Regular hours are 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM shifts on alternating days and 6:00 AM- 12:00 PM Saturday shifts on alternating weekends, coordinated with the Assistant Warehouse Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee supervision of the warehouse team and effective operation of packing, shipping, receiving and inventory
• Support the Branch Manager in safe, efficient and economic running of the Warehouse
• Oversee and participate in the preparation of items for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory
• Oversee and participate in incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments, which includes lifting and carrying materials
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
• Review shipping discrepancies as needed and work to rectify problems with relevant team members
• Conduct Inventory counts
• Order warehouse supplies when needed
• Develop and maintain an effective department, assist in the selection, training, motivation and review of team members
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a management role
• Previous experience in vending/foodservice is preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Outgoing, personable, and ability to communicate with all levels of a company
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good driving record
