Job summary

AVI Foodsystems in Ohio is seeking an energetic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse team on a Monday–Friday 2:30am–11:00am shift. The role focuses on safe and efficient operations, inventory control, and accurate packing, shipping, and receiving.

You will supervise staff, train and motivate team members, coordinate orders, and ensure compliance with procedures. A background in vending/foodservice and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a management role.
• Experience in vending/foodservice preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outgoing and personable, able to communicate with all levels.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driving record.
• Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse supervision and packing, shipping, receiving and inventory.
• Support Branch Manager in safe, efficient and economical running of the Warehouse.
• Prepare items for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Rectify shipping discrepancies with team members.
• Conduct inventory counts.
• Order warehouse supplies when needed.
• Develop and maintain an effective department and mentor team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision of the warehouse team and effective operation of packing, shipping, receiving and inventory
• Support the Branch Manager in safe, efficient and economic running of the Warehouse
• Oversee and participate in the preparation of items for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory
• Oversee and participate in incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments, which includes lifting and carrying materials
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
• Review shipping discrepancies as needed and work to rectify problems with relevant team members
• Conduct Inventory counts
• Order warehouse supplies when needed
• Develop and maintain an effective department, assist in the selection, training, motivation and review of team members
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a management role
• Previous experience in vending/foodservice is preferred
