Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Warehouse Lead to guide early-morning operations on a full-time schedule, including Saturdays.

You will oversee packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory, support the supervisor, and develop the warehouse team while maintaining safety and accuracy.

This role requires forklift experience, strong communication, and a track record in fast-paced warehouses, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the warehouse team and the packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in running daily warehouse operations.
• Oversee preparation of items for shipping, receiving, and inventory.
• Ensure shipments are accurate, complete, and in good condition; lift and carry materials.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
• Address shipping discrepancies with relevant team members.
• Assist with inventory counts.
• Order warehouse supplies as needed.
• Assist in selection, training, motivation, and review of team members.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the warehouse team and effective operation of packing shipping receiving and inventory
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in running the warehouse
• Oversee and participate in the preparation of items for shipping receiving storing and inventory
• Ensure accuracy completeness and condition of shipments which includes lifting and carrying materials
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
• Review shipping discrepancies as needed and work to rectify problems with relevant team members
• Assist with inventory counts
• Order warehouse supplies when needed
• Assist in the selection training motivation and review of team members

Requirements

• Forklift experience and pulling orders
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Valid drivers license and good driving record
