Warehouse Supervisor (Finance)

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for supervising the shipping and receiving functions of all outgoing and incoming products from the warehouse. Leads and controls activities of warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient and accurate operations. Maintains safety, security, and proper documentation of warehouse activities, and supports management with regular updates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

1. Provides direction and motivation to team members to ensure workload is completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
2. Maintains a positive presence on the warehouse floor throughout the shift.
3. Supervises all warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution.
4. Prepares necessary paperwork and reports.
5. Conducts training for new hires and ongoing coaching for employees.
6. Performs job evaluations and communicates performance feedback.
7. Evaluates work performance regarding promotions, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
8. Coordinates with management and other departments to meet organizational goals.
9. Ensures a safe, clean work environment and is knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
10. Performs duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies, as applicable.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:

• Efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse processes; prompt problem resolution.
• Accurate inventory control and record-keeping.
• Current and accurate documentation and files.
• Adherence to safety regulations.
• Professional relations with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments.
• Management is informed of activities and issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification: Associates Degree or equivalent experience.

Knowledge: Basic purchasing, inventory procedures, computer applications, courier, and mailing functions.

Experience: Minimum three years of related experience.

Skills/Abilities: Leadership, organization, problem-solving, communication, computer proficiency (Microsoft Word and Excel), attention to detail, and ability to operate maintenance equipment.
