Job summary

The Crump Group, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor—Day Shift to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient, safe, and organized processes.

You will lead, coach, and evaluate a team, plan daily tasks, and coordinate with inventory control to maintain accurate stock records and timely order fulfillment. Candidate will have strong leadership, experience with WMS, and a solid understanding of OSHA, GMP and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar role with leadership duties.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and quality control processes.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • OSHA and GMP/HACCP awareness and compliance.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor--Day Shift to join our team. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient and organized processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effective leadership, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Foster a positive team culture by promoting teamwork, communication, and collaboration among warehouse personnel.
  • Set clear expectations for performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team members meet or exceed targets.
  • Plan and prioritize daily tasks, ensuring optimal utilization of warehouse resources and manpower.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory control teams to maintain accurate stock records and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve overall warehouse efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce operational costs.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, policies, and procedures to create a safe working environment for all warehouse employees.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions, perform safety audits, and address potential hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including OHSA and other industry-specific guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality by implementing rigorous quality control measures, accurate inspections, and proper handling of goods.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution of products in accordance with company guidelines and customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, periodic audits, and ensure accurate inventory records through the use of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including logistics, purchasing and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, and inventory levels, and present findings to management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred).
  • Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar role, with a minimum of 3 in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and quality control processes.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge and compliance with OSHA
  • Food Safety knowledge (i.e., GMP, HACCP)
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50lbs as required.
  • Comfortable working in various temperature and humidity conditions within the warehouse.

Work Schedule: 3:00pm- 11:30pm pm Monday - Friday
