Job summary

Hy-Vee's Lomar Distribution Center is seeking a Warehouse Generalist responsible for selecting and palletizing merchandise for shipment to retail locations. You will use voice automated selection and pick-to-light systems to accurately pick orders and securely palletize loads.

The role requires physical fitness to lift up to 50 pounds, familiarity with pallet jacks and forklifts after certification, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet language and hearing requirements for voice automated selection.
• Able to follow one- or two-step instructions; routine, repetitive tasks.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Able to safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and stock picker after certification.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time and adhere to company policies.
• Accurately select orders via voice automated selection system and palletize merchandise for shipment.
• Use pick-to-light system as needed and verify pallet stability.
• Apply pallet IDs and stage orders for delivery.
• Perform daily safety inspections of power equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Attend departmental and company meetings and assist with other duties as assigned.
