Job Title: Warehouse Specialist
Job Description

The Warehouse Specialist plays a key role in ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe movement of materials within a climate-controlled warehouse and manufacturing environment. This position focuses on shipping and receiving, inventory control, quality inspection, and order fulfillment while operating material-handling equipment and adhering to established safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently, using appropriate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and overhead cranes.
  • Inspect incoming goods for visible damage and verify quantities against packing slips or purchase orders to ensure accuracy in shipping and receiving.
  • Log incoming and outgoing items into warehouse management software (WMS) or ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Track stock levels and perform routine cycle counts to support effective inventory control and prevent stock discrepancies.
  • Measure parts and materials as required and document results according to established quality control (Q.C.) checklists.
  • Conduct quality inspections on products and materials to ensure they meet company standards before storage or shipment.
  • Pick, pack, and label products accurately for customer orders or internal distribution, following established warehouse packing and kitting procedures.
  • Perform order picking and stocking activities to ensure materials are correctly placed and readily available for production or shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles, storage locations, and workstations are free of debris and obstructions.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times, and promptly report any hazardous conditions or safety concerns.
  • Use basic computer skills to navigate ERP and WMS systems, enter data, and generate necessary documentation for inventory and shipping activities.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Approximately 1 year of experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory tracking, or material handling preferred.
  • Proficiency in basic computer literacy for data entry and navigation of ERP and WMS systems.
  • Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and overhead cranes.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including unloading trucks, inspecting goods, and verifying quantities against orders or packing slips.
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices such as cycle counts, stocking, and warehouse packing.
  • Ability to perform quality control tasks, including measuring parts and documenting inspection results according to Q.C. checklists.
  • Capability to accurately pick, pack, label, and kit orders for internal and external customers.
  • Understanding of OSHA guidelines and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for inventory tracking and order processing.
  • Experience in material handling and order picking in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a climate-controlled manufacturing floor and warehouse environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
