Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Warehouse Specialist – 1st Shift for the Aftermarket team. The role requires receiving parts and preparing inventory for shipment to clients, with on-site work at the Chula Vista facility and a 6:30am–3pm shift, Monday to Friday. You will be counting inventory, boxing orders, loading/unloading with lift trucks, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR HS diploma, GED and 6 years of relevant experience is required.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse.
• Experience with safety practices and procedures.
• Experience working with computers.

Responsibilities

• Pull parts that have been stored in a warehouse stored as inventory.
• Cycle counting of inventory.
• Opening of supplier product to be stored in a warehouse.
• Box and prep customer orders for shipment.
• Process, store, and send inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.
• Load and unload orders from various carriers and freight forwarders.
• Organize incoming deliveries.
• Apply the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.
• Operate licensed lift trucks of any capacity.
• Maintain good shop practices including safety and housekeeping.
• This position stands for long periods of time.
• You will be carrying loads of up to 30 pounds.

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Warehouse Specialist – 1st Shift for the Aftermarket team. In this position you will be responsible for receiving parts and preparing inventory for shipment to the client. This position requires you to be always organized and safety conscious.

• This position is based on-site at our Chula Vista, CA facility and will be part of the IAM Local 755.

1st Shift hours are: 6:30am – 3pm, Monday to Friday.
