Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for the 2nd shift at our Chula Vista, CA facility. You will receive parts, prepare inventory for shipment, and ensure accuracy and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include cycle counting, SAP-based processes, forklift operation, and ensuring proper labeling and timely order fulfillment for customer shipments. This is an onsite role with a union environment and standard shift hours.

Qualifications

• Typically HS diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a warehouse environment.
• Familiar with safety practices and procedures.
• Experience using computers and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Pull parts stored in inventory.
• Perform cycle counts of inventory.
• Open supplier products for warehouse storage.
• Box and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Process, store, and ship inventory per PO and schedule.
• Load/unload orders from carriers and freight forwarders.

Job description

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Warehouse Specialist – 2nd Shift for the Aftermarket team. In this position you will be responsible for receiving parts and preparing inventory for shipment to the client. This position requires you to be always organized and safety conscious. This position is based on-site at our Chula Vista, CA facility and will be part of the IAM Local 755. This is a 2nd shift position required to work Monday – Friday (2:30pm – 11pm) after training concludes.

What You Will Do

• Pull parts that have been stored in a warehouse stored as inventory
• Cycle counting of inventory
• Opening of supplier product to be stored in a warehouse
• Box and prep customer orders for shipment
• Process, store, and send inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules
• Load and unload orders from various carriers and freight forwarders
• Organize incoming deliveries
• Apply the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels
• Operate licensed lift trucks of any capacity
• Maintain good shop practices including safety and housekeeping
• This position stands for long periods of time
• You will be carrying loads up to 30 pounds

Qualifications

• Typically HS diploma, GED with 4 years of relevant experience, is required
• Prior experience working in a warehouse
• Experience with safety practices and procedures
• Experience working with computers
• The ability to use SAP

Pay range for this role is 22.95 - $50.98; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
