Aerotek is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Bellingham, MA for a contract-to-hire role. The position supports efficient shipping, receiving, and work order picking and kitting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Fully cross-trained, you may be reassigned within the warehouse as needs change. You will handle material movement with barcodes, RF scanners, and ERP/WMS systems, maintain inventory accuracy, pack shipments, and operate pallet jacks or forklifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts at a basic operating level.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and ERP/WMS use.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including picking and packing.
• Knowledge of inventory control practices.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to identify required materials and locations.
• Use barcodes, RF scanners, and inventory systems to verify materials.
• Assemble and stage materials for production or shipment.
• Record inventory transactions and maintain accuracy in systems.
• Maintain stock levels and report discrepancies.
• Return unused items to stock and keep areas organized.
• Prepare and pack outgoing shipments per specifications.
• Select packaging materials to ensure safe transit.
• Coordinate shipment pickups and choose efficient methods.
• Validate order accuracy and condition before shipment.
• Track shipments and help resolve delivery issues.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder consumables as needed.
• Assist with cycle counts and periodic inventories.
• Maintain an organized warehouse layout for efficient flow.
• Perform digital inventory transactions in ERP/WMS.
• Follow safety protocols and keep a clean work environment.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks safely.
• Support team and follow supervisor directions.
• Communicate with team and other departments to meet objectives.

Job Description

The Warehouse Specialist plays a key role in supporting efficient shipping, receiving, and work order picking and kitting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is fully cross-trained across core warehouse functions and may be reassigned within the warehouse as business or staffing needs change. The role focuses on accurate material handling, inventory control, safe equipment operation, and effective collaboration with the warehouse team and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret work orders to identify required materials, quantities, and storage locations.

• Use barcodes, RF scanners, and inventory systems to retrieve and verify materials accurately.

• Assemble and stage materials for production or shipment according to specifications.

• Record inventory transactions promptly and ensure accuracy in all systems.

• Maintain accurate stock levels and report any discrepancies immediately.

• Return unused items to stock and keep the picking and kitting areas clean and organized.

• Prepare and pack outgoing shipments in line with customer specifications and quality standards.

• Select appropriate packaging materials and methods to ensure safe transit of goods.

• Coordinate shipment pickups and select shipping methods (parcel, LTL, FTL) for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Validate the accuracy and condition of orders before shipment.

• Track shipments and help resolve delivery issues when they arise.

• Monitor stock levels and reorder consumables as needed to support ongoing operations.

• Conduct cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory activities.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse role.
• Hands‑on experience with pallet jacks or forklifts at a basic operating level.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and use of inventory and ERP systems.
• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including picking and packing.
• Knowledge of inventory control practices and material handling procedures.
• Ability to use RF scanners, barcodes, and related warehouse technology.
• Capability to perform palletizing, labeling, and warehouse packing tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellingham, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
