Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is hiring a Shipping Specialist to accurately process returns and ship orders to customers via UPS and Common Carrier. This role operates in the warehouse and coordinates with sales staff, customers, and trucking companies.

The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with benefits including same-day pay, competitive wages, and staff discounts. Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to lift items as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year shipping, receiving, distribution or warehouse experience required.
• UPS, FedEx and Teklogic experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/push/pull required weights.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes criminal background check.

Are details important to you? At NFM our Shipping Specialist is focused on accurately processing returns shipping and shipping out orders to our customers via UPS and Common Carrier. This position works in our warehouse while managing many relationships via phone and email communications.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Handling products so you are safe and the product is damage free
• Accuracy: Utilize NFM’s computer systems to run reports, bay assign transfers, generate documents, track returns, bills of lading, order distribution reports and more
• Collaborate: Work with sales staff, customers and/or trucking companies to provide accurate information pertaining to their products
• Inspect: Examine product for defects, verify counts, weights and measure on items
• Be Precise: Maintain accurate inventory and complete claims information
• Play Your Part: Wrap merchandise properly for safe and secure deliveries
