Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is hiring a Return Dock Specialist to process returned customer purchases, code uncrated items, and ensure procedures are followed. The role emphasizes attention to detail and problem solving.

Working 12:00pm–8:30pm, Thursday–Monday, full-time. Pay range $18.30–$22.77 per hour. You will verify return orders, inspect products for defects, document paperwork, wrap merchandise, and move items safely.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred or higher.
• 6 months’ customer contact experience.
• Positive, upbeat attitude.
• Ability to lift/push/pull required weights.
• Operate scanning equipment preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes background check.

Responsibilities

• Verify all return orders during check-in.
• Examine product for defects.
• Process paperwork, tag products, and assign status coding for returns.
• Wrap merchandise and note any problems on the order.
• Move product to storage or appropriate location safely.

Do you pay attention to detail and like to find alternative solutions to problems in your work area? As NFM’s Return Dock Specialist you’re focused on processing the returned customer product purchases and properly coding all uncrated products and ensuring processes are being followed.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Collaborate: Verify all return orders during check-in
• Inspect: Examine product for defects
• Accuracy: Process paperwork, tag products and assign status coding for returns
• Play Your Part: Wrap merchandise and properly note any arising problems on order
• Safety: Move the product to where it needs to go safely
