Job summary

Chelten House Products, a fourth-generation family-owned food manufacturer in Swedesboro, NJ, seeks a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for 2nd shift. You will manage outbound/inbound deliveries, verify driver paperwork, and use the WMS to ensure accurate shipments.

You will document receipts, prepare bills of lading, and support customer service with shipping questions while contributing to a positive, team-oriented warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year+ shipping and freight experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook and ability to use a WMS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Customer service background or relevant work experience.
• Exemplary customer-facing and customer service skills.
• Experience in a warehouse environment.
• Strong computer skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Check in drivers and verify they have accurate paperwork for shipments or receipts.
• Create receiving documents, bills of lading, and use pick tickets to ascertain skid counts for carriers.
• Review paperwork for accuracy and reissue to floor for correction.
• Transact and process receipts and shipments within the WMS system according to standard procedures.
• Alert internal staff regarding inbound issues, backorders, and shipping statuses.
• Report discrepancies to the shift supervisor or department manager.
• Assist customer service by identifying and researching customer issues related to shipping/receiving of orders.
• Assist in creating online quotes for customer inquiries regarding freight pricing as needed.
• Follow up on warehouse inquiries from internal departments.
• Support the shift supervisor and department manager as requested.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving related goals.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk, 2nd shift

2:00 PM- 10:30 PM Monday-Friday

What We Need

We need a Shipping & Receiving Clerk who is responsible for scheduling all outbound and inbound deliveries and performing similar tasks relating to warehouse, receiving, and shipping duties.

What You Will Do

What You Need
