Job summary

MSI is seeking an entry-level Shipping and Receiving teammate in Pooler, GA to review orders, pick items, palletize, and secure loads for shipment. The role involves forklift operation and tablet-based documentation with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Expect 60% manual labor and 40% forklift work, with Sunday-Thursday night hours. Starting pay is $19.75/hour, with potential overtime and bonuses based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and stack flooring materials on pallets and secure loads.
• Review shipping orders and determine required products and transport methods.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and organize outbound paperwork.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound freight schedules for warehouse efficiency.
• Communicate with carriers to arrange pickups and loading instructions.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
• Keep warehouse clean, organized and compliant with safety standards.
• Perform daily equipment checks and routine maintenance.

Summary

The Shipping and Receiving position reviews shipping orders on a tablet, verifies documentation, picks and pulls products, palletizes items, and secures them with shrink wrap for shipment. This role involves about 60% manual labor and up to 40% forklift operation based on workload and business needs.

This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $19.75 to $19.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $65,800 and $81,200 annually, or more, depending on experience, premium pay differential, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and stack flooring materials on pallets; secure loads with shrink wrap
• Review and interpret shipping orders to identify required products and transport methods
• Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and properly maintained
• Prepare and organize paperwork for outbound shipments
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight schedules to support efficient warehouse operations
• Communicate with carriers to arrange pickups and provide clear loading instructions
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse in compliance with safety standards
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Proficient with tablets or iPads
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and perform well under pressure
