MSI is seeking an entry-level Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate for a 3rd shift in Suffolk, VA. The role involves 60% manual labor and up to 40% forklift operation, with pay starting at $19.75 per hour and potential overtime.

Responsibilities include picking, packing, forklift use, and coordinating shipments. Candidates need a high school diploma, at least 1 year warehouse experience, and strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and properly maintained.
• Prepare and organize paperwork for outbound shipments.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight schedules to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Communicate with carriers to arrange pickups and provide loading instructions.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse in compliance with safety standards.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks.

Job Description

Summary: The Shipping and Receiving position reviews shipping orders on a tablet, verifies documentation, picks and pulls products, palletizes items, and secures them with shrink wrap for shipment. This role involves about 60% manual labor and up to 40% forklift operation based on workload and business needs.

Work Hours: Sunday to Thursday from 07:00 PM to 05:30 AM, 2 Friday(s) a month from 07:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Seniority Level: Entry Level

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $19.75 to $19.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $56,800 and $71,800 annually, or more, depending on experience, premium pay differential, overtime hours, and bonuses.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
