Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Supervisor, Warehousing and Services in Lake County to oversee warehouse operations, distribution, and site services. You will ensure compliance with Quality, Regulatory, Financial and Global Trade standards while guiding a team to meet KPIs and safety requirements.

The role requires coordinating daily tasks, staffing, and process improvements to keep facilities audit-ready and efficient. Strong English literacy and regulatory knowledge are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred with 2+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• May be required to attain Controlled Drug Agent status gained by passing the security screening process and training processes depending on department.
• Must be able to read and understand procedures written in English

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
• Ensure daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed per schedule
• Ensure directed reports are appropriately trained to complete assigned tasks and complete formal written and verbal performance reviews as scheduled
• Monitor daily work operations and provide direction to predominantly nonexempt and entry level staff to achieve unit or departmental goals
• Interact with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures
• Develop work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources
• Maintain personnel records and reflect actual change in the database
• Develop new work processes and improve utilization of resources within the area; facilitate continuous improvement and solve basic problems

Job Description

Supervisor, Warehousing and Services is responsible for supervising warehouses supporting
distribution, manufacturing or site services such as MRO or delivery services in Lake County.
The Supervisor will ensure the Manager's expectations for routine activities are met and may
manage small projects within the area. Responsible to ensure facilities meet AbbVie external
or internal customer expectations and support. Must maintain all Quality, Regulatory,
Financial and Global Trade compliance expectations for the area. Ensure full compliance with
FDA, DEA, OSHA, GTC, TSA and other regulatory expectations. Expected to maintain efficient and compliant operations ready to meet any internal, customer or regulatory audit. Required to
maintain a safe and secure facility ensuring employee safety and product integrity. The
Supervisor is expected to meet assigned goals and KPI's and assure capacity, systems and
technology is capable of supporting the assigned area.
