Job Description

The Warehouse Group Leader is the person responsible for ensuring that all activities pertaining to material movement are handled in a timely manner while maintaining the highest levels of compliance and quality. This position will be required to resolve any issues that arise pertaining to material movement in the warehouse and requires a high level of independence, with major decisions made in conjunction with leadership. Decisions and actions have a direct impact on the operation’s efficiency, effectiveness (cost, time, and quality) and compliance. This position requires the ability to understand the customer’s needs and appropriately prioritize the overall workload.

Responsibilities
  • This position is expected to lead through example, demonstrating exemplary attendance, leads meetings, tracks, and reports on KPI’s, maintains a positive attitude to assignments. He/she does not have direct supervisor/manager duties such as performance evaluation or disciplinary responsibilities but will provide related feedback to leadership as needed.
  • Participate in responses to departmental, corporate, and governmental audits. Aid in the control of all critical non-inventory items. Interface daily with key stakeholders to coordinate workflow with other departments/areas of the business to ensure business needs are met
  • Ensure associates are trained according to SOP’s. Perform observations as needed and completes all required training documentation for purpose of cross training current employees, contractors, new hires, etc. Arrange system access/permissions (i.e. SAP, Small Parcel Shipping System)
  • Comply with all appropriate policies and procedures to successfully maintain training, safety, GxP, and governmental agency standards.
  • Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast changing work demand.
  • Responsible for cross-training in multiple areas of the operation while maintaining a low level of quality mistakes.
  • Accurately receive and inspect inbound product/material for infestation, overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
  • Efficiently and correctly pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is picked. Verify quantity, quality, labeling and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and accurate.
  • Transfers and locates material/product to general storage areas or shipping locations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience preferably within a pharmaceutical operations setting.
  • Accurately complete basic math calculations. Ability to read and understand training documents, product labeling and warehouse signage written in English.
  • Pass medical screening and/or background checks conducted by local, state, and federal authorities.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced positive team-oriented environment, with moderate supervision an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast changing work demand
  • 5+ years working with ERP system, preferably SAP. Familiarity with Microsoft office products, general computer skills and RF scanners required. Ability to analyze, think creatively, decide, an effectively communicate verbally and written.
  • Very strong working knowledge applying DEA, TSA, FAA, IATA, DOT, IMDG and/or FTZ compliance regulations for the receiving and shipping of materials.
  • Capable to lift 50 lbs., and/or more with assistance. Able to bend, reach, stoop, climb, stand and walk for entire shift of 8 hours or more. Ability to work in an atmosphere range of -20°C to 30°C (-4°Fto 86°F)
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to complete assigned tasks.
  • Operate various types of material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, hand tools and other devices operated in a warehouse environment while maintaining the highest level of productivity and accuracy.
