Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Security Supervisor of Warehousing in Braintree, MA to supervise security staff, manage access control, and develop procedures for a safe facility.

The role requires on-call readiness 24/7 and will oversee equipment maintenance and incident responses at the Boston area facility. Salary is $72,500 annually, paid salaried, with a schedule Monday–Friday and potential additional hours to support operations.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred in related field.
• Five (5) years or more experience in Security or Law Enforcement required.
• Three (3) years or more spent at supervisor or above level required.
• Law Enforcement School Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of security staff for the safety and protection of all Ryder personnel at the Braintree, MA Facility.
• Ensure that access control is maintained at all times.
• Develop security procedures to be adhered to by security staff.
• Ensure that equipment pertinent to the security operation is serviced and maintained and in operable condition.
• Purchase tools pertinent to the operation of the security department at the Boston, MA facility and ensure billing is correct.
• Investigates reported thefts and security violations and contacts employees and/or visitors regarding infractions of security procedures or regulations.
• Respond to emergency medical situations.
• This position is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Subject to being called into headquarters at any time to handle emergency or unusual situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Pay: $72,500 per year based on experience. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Employee must be flexible and open to working additional days and hours as needed to support operations.

• Develops security procedures
• Evaluates new equipment, techniques and products
• Programs Honeywell Delta 1000 and Xerox 820-II
• Trains staff on equipment and procedures
• Purchases materials for operation of department
• Investigates reported thefts and security violations and contacts employees and/or visitors regarding infractions of security procedures or regulations.
• Respond to emergency medical situations
