Job summary

Vistar is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean, safe work environment in our Louisville facility. The role supports health, safety, and sanitation across dry, cooler, and freezer areas while performing general janitorial tasks.

Typical schedule runs Sun–Thu with a 12:00 PM start on Sunday and 3:00 PM on Monday through Thursday. Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED and 6+ months of cleaning experience; a drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
