Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts is looking for a skilled Clerk to join our warehouse team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role covers inbound, outbound, UPS, core processing, returns, RGNs and related paperwork, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

The Clerk will support warehouse operations, communicate with stores and vendors, and help ensure quality, safety and efficiency across shifts. This position is on-site and requires physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and push/pull loads up to 300 pounds with aids.
• Physical ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, and reach, including ladders.
• Good judgment and strong decision-making skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Experience with computers and RF scanning equipment.
• Availability Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.
• Capable of operating warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inbound: schedule inbound freight and verify receiving counts against POs and packing lists.
• Outbound: schedule outbound freight and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• UPS Shipments: print labels, overpack products, and route packages.
• Core Processing: unload, stage, and document core returns.
• Returns: process and restock classified merchandise accurately.
• RGN: prepare and ship jobber/recall merchandise and handle vendor questions.
• Quality Control: ensure shipments are accurate and undamaged.
• Safety, housekeeping, and security: maintain a safe work environment.
• Decision making: identify and resolve daily warehouse issues.
• Meet or exceed production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
