Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring for a Receiving Dock Worker in Springfield, MA. You will oversee the receiving area, inspect shipments, verify counts and labeling, and ensure quality standards are met to maintain an efficient production flow.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 80 lbs occasionally, and working Monday to Friday from 10:00am until completion. Experience in warehouse/distribution and a valid forklift/Pallet Jack handling capability is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 6 - 12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Schedule: Monday thru Friday 10:00am until work is complete.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures and keep work area safe.
• Open loading dock doors and prepare area to receive products from trailers.
• Receive incoming products and verify against the schedule and bill of lading.
• Perform damage checks and take action per policy.
• Identify label and store supplies and enter data into inventory system.
• Coordinate unloading and transport to staging areas with forklift or pallet jack.
• Perform general housekeeping and complete required paperwork at shift end.
• Other duties as assigned.
