Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring for a warehouse receiving associate to oversee dock operations, verify shipments, and ensure quality and labeling of materials. You will coordinate storage, data entry, and overall movement of goods while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires standing, lifting, and working in multi-temperature environments, with opportunities for overtime and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months of warehouse/distribution experience.
• Able to work scheduled hours and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly.
• Able to lift 10–35 lbs and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and keep work area safe.
• Review schedule and prepare supplies for operations.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Open loading dock doors and prepare area for receiving from trucks.
• Inspect arriving trailers and verify quality and counts against schedule.
• Receive and verify items, record counts, and check labeling.
• Perform damage checks and manage date-sensitive items.
• Identify and store supplies, enter data into inventory system.
• Coordinate unloading and staging items with forklift/pallet jack helpers.
• Perform housekeeping and keep area clean and organized.
• Complete vehicle inspections and secure equipment at shift end.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
