Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring for a warehouse receiving position in the Springfield area. You will oversee the receiving dock, inspect items, verify against schedules, and coordinate storage and data entry to maintain inventory accuracy.

The role requires 6–12 months in warehouse work, the ability to lift heavy items, and the stamina to work in multiple temperature zones. Schedule is Monday through Friday starting at 10:00am and continuing until work is completed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6–12 months of warehouse and/or distribution experience.
• Ability to work scheduled times and overtime as required.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10–35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and keep work area safe.
• Open loading dock doors and prepare area to receive products.
• Receive and verify items against schedule and bill of lading.
• Perform temperature checks and quality checks on products.
• Identify and store supplies; enter data into inventory system.
• Coordinate unloading and transport to staging areas with forklift/pallet jack.
• Complete housekeeping and paperwork; end-of-shift closure.
