Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort is seeking a Warehouse Runner to manage receiving, logging, and internal deliveries across the property. You will support inventory, verify shipments, and help maintain organized storage while coordinating with buyers and colleagues.

The role requires a friendly, safety-conscious approach, basic computer skills, and the ability to work weekends and evenings as needed. A forklift background is preferred, with opportunities for certification and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Move stock within storage areas and perform in-house delivery duties.

You're the logistics concierge behind the scenes – receiving, logging, and dispatching supplies like a pro so the property never skips a beat. Picture yourself ensuring that everything from guest amenities to your colleague's office supplies arrive on time and as ordered – whether it's stocking internal departments or coordinating in town deliveries, your strong hospitality touch ensures our shipping and receiving needs hit the mark.

What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Assist with physical count inventory of storage locations as needed.
  • Pull inventory accurately and verify against Inventory Issue requisitions.
  • Document any issues regarding receipt of goods and professionally communicate them to the buyer, requestor and/or co-workers.
  • Compare identifying information and count, weigh or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages, enter receipt of goods into computerized inventory management program.
  • Stock inventory upon receipt and maintain storage locations in an orderly fashion. First in first out rotation.
  • Operate tier lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from Shipping and Receiving platform to storage or work area.
  • Pick-up and deliver in-house stock/warehouse items.
  • Operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver at various locations throughout the local area.
  • Responsible for all shipping activities to include packaging, labeling, tracking and determining the best method of shipment.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training or a combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred. Must pass employer forklift certification test.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Warehouse Runner with a performance rating of "meets" or "exceeds expectations."
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License is required.
  • Must pass Food Handlers Safety course.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Basic computer knowledge required. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
