Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort on Oregon's southern coast is seeking a team member for Timbers Café. You will take orders, deliver food and drinks, craft coffee beverages, and keep the cafe sparkling clean while making guests feel genuinely cared for.

One year of customer service experience and cash handling is expected, along with a valid food handler's card and OLCC permit knowledge. Weekend/evening availability is required; a supportive, guest-focused team awaits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Take and enter orders quickly into the POS system.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring accuracy.
  • Craft coffee drinks and pastry items with care.
  • Keep the café and dining areas clean and inviting.
  • Restock prep and wait stations to keep service smooth.
  • Bus tables and transport soiled dishes as needed.
  • Check food quality and plate presentation; request re-fire if needed.
  • Follow dress code and personal hygiene standards at all times.

What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Welcome guests with genuine warmth and provide attentive, friendly service from start to finish.
  • Take and enter orders quickly and accurately into the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling payments, comps, coupons, and more with ease.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring every order is accurate, fresh, and beautifully presented.
  • Share your knowledge of our food and beverage menu to guide guests through their choices.
  • Craft coffee drinks and serve pastry case items with care and consistency.
  • Keep the café and dining areas clean, tidy, and inviting for our guests at all times.
  • Bus tables and transport soiled dishes to the dish area as needed.
  • Restock prep and wait stations so the team is always ready to serve.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas-including counters, floors, and walls-to maintain the highest standards of safety and sanitation.
  • Always follow dress code and personal hygiene standards to represent our team with pride.
  • Deliver "Million Dollar Service" in every interaction, making guests and coworkers feel valued and appreciated.
  • Step in to support as a steward when needed.
  • Check food quality and plate presentation, requesting a re-fire if something doesn't meet our high standards.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • One year experience working in customer service preferred.
  • One year cash handling and cash register experience preferred.
  • Must retain a valid food handler's card.
  • Must have valid OLCC service permit and working knowledge of OLCC regulations.
  • Proven record of being self-motivated with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Ability to follow written instructions required.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
