Job summary

SPS Companies - Fire Protection Division (Pipe Fabricators) is hiring for a Warehouse Staff role in Maple Grove, MN. The position involves filling production orders, assisting customers, and coordinating material deliveries on a day shift.

Responsibilities include operating pipe cutting and threading equipment, reading cut sheets, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Union, hourly employment with full-time hours and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Production experience preferred but not required.
• Forklift (stand up or sit-down) experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, including speaking with customers face-to-face and via phone.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders for production jobs.
• Provide counter sales support as needed.
• Assist customers with material selection, payment collection, and invoicing upon completion.
• Deliver material lists to appropriate production areas.
• Operate pipe cutting, grooving, and threading equipment.
• Read cut sheets; measure and cut pipe to specifications.
• Maintain groove and thread depth tolerances.
• Bundle pipe for production and shipment.
• Package materials for shipment to trucks or local carriers.
• Coordinate courier shipments when required.
• Communicate professionally with warehouse and production staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
