Job summary

Vistar is seeking a warehouse picker to select cases and containers from multi-level racks, preparing orders for shipment with an electric pallet jack. The role requires standing, lifting up to 80 pounds, and adapting to cooler, freezer, and dry environments. OT is common during busy seasons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures; maintain a safe work area.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks; locate products according to order sheets.
• Transport completed palletized orders to shipping dock; shrink-wrap as needed.
• Perform end-of-shift equipment inspection and complete necessary paperwork.
