Job summary

Synergy Flavors, part of the Carbery Group, seeks a Warehouse Operator for the Hamilton, OH area. This onsite role handles shipping, receiving, and order preparation with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant. Fork truck certification is preferred and lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred.
• Experience with bulk transfer operations and/or chemical manufacturing processes preferred.
• Experience with hazardous materials transportation preferred; applicable training will be provided.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a GMP, Food Safety work environment with a complete understanding of warehouse activities.
• Strong focus on customer commitment.
• Must follow safety requirements and ensure PPE compliance (safety shoes, safety glasses, face shield and respirator).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Prepares customer orders for shipments.
• Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain quantities, destination, and routing.
• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares packing slip with purchase order for accuracy.
• Monitors unloading/loading of bulk resources, finished goods and waste materials; adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Process packages via UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies and notifies relevant teams.
• May be DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations certified.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, forklift, or shrink-wrap machine.
• Follows department policies and safety/environmental standards; participates in quality improvements.
• Supports inventory through cycle counts and reconciliation.

How You Will Contribute

The Warehouse Operator performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Verifies materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate locations. Prepares items for shipment ensuring proper documents are attached to shipments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares customer orders for shipments.
• Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from suppliers.
• Monitors all aspects of the unloading and loading of bulk resources, finished goods and waste materials. Ensure all safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met.
• Process packages via UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor purchasing and quality control personnel.
• May be Department of Transportation's Hazardous Materials Regulations (49CFR, Parts 171-180) Certified.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap machine.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Supports the inventory process by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and performing other inventory-related tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock management.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Hourly Rate

Hourly Rate: $20.50 per hour + $1,000 Sign on Bonus

1st shift: Monday - Friday 7a - 3:30p

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
