Job summary

Synergy Flavors, Inc., based in Wauconda, IL, is hiring a Packing Operator I for the 1st shift to pack production batches, monitor equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines. You will record batch data, transfer materials, and help maintain food safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime may be required, with starting pay of $19.50 per hour plus a $1,000 sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Able to operate RF scanner and report batch quantities.
• Detail-oriented with basic math.
• Able to lift 50 lbs continuously.
• Follow safety requirements, forklift policy and wear PPE.
• Willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Learn and follow procedures and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Pack production batches and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Record production and other data accurately on specified forms and documents
• Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning
• Transfer materials, set up equipment, supplies and packaging materials efficiently.
• Learn and understand food safety concepts and their importance in making our products.
• Promptly observe and clearly communicate food or other product quality matters to Shift Leads or Management.
• Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
• Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Consume required materials using RF scanner and accurately report batch quantities.
• Must have attention to detail and can perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary
• Must follow safety requirements, forklift policy and wear required PPE.
• Ability to problem solve and communicate when something is wrong and to recognize and report the problem.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to learn and consistently follow operational and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to learn and consistently complete required documentation and record-keeping requirements.

Starting Salary : $19.50/HR + $1K Sign on Bonus Monday - Friday 6a-2:30p

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
