Job summary

Synergy Flavors (OH) LLC, part of the Carbery Group, is seeking a Warehouse Operator for our Hamilton, OH site. The role covers shipping/receiving, order accuracy, and inventory support in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.

We require a high school diploma or GED, strong organizational and communication skills, GMP/food safety experience, and a willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift certification is preferred; safety compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred.
• Experience with bulk transfer operations and/or chemical manufacturing processes preferred.
• Experience with hazardous materials transportation preferred; applicable training and certification will be provided.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in GMP and Food Safety environments with warehouse knowledge.
• Strong customer commitment and problem-solving mindset.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Must follow safety requirements and PPE rules; capable of lifting 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Prepares customer orders for shipments.
• Checks items to be shipped against work orders for correct quantities and routing.
• Receives and unloads incoming materials; compares packing slips with purchase orders.
• Monitors unloading/loading of bulk resources, finished goods and waste materials.
• Ensures safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met.
• Processes packages via UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager.
• Inspects shipments for damages and records discrepancies.
• May operate Department of Transportation hazardous materials regulations training as needed.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, forklift, or shrink-wrap machine.
• Supports inventory with cycle counts and stock accuracy tasks.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

The Warehouse Operator performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Verifies materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate locations. Prepares items for shipment ensuring proper documents are attached to shipments.

How You Will Contribute

• Prepares customer orders for shipments.
• Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from suppliers.
• Monitors all aspects of the unloading and loading of bulk resources, finished goods and waste materials.
• Ensure all safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met.
• Process packages via UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor purchasing and quality control personnel.
• May be Department of Transportation’s Hazardous Materials Regulations (49CFR, Parts 171-180) Certified.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap machine.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Supports the inventory process by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and performing other inventory-related tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock management.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred
• Experience with bulk transfer operations and/or chemical manufacturing processes preferred.
• Experience with hazardous materials transportation preferred; applicable training and certification will be provided.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a GMP, Food Safety work environment with a complete understanding of warehouse activities.
• Strong focus on customer commitment.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Fork truck certification preferred.
• Must follow safety requirements and ensure the production team follows the PPE requirements (safety shoes, safety glasses, face shield and respirator).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $20.50 per hour + $1,000 Sign on Bonus

1st shift: Monday - Friday 7a - 3:30p

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.

This role will remain open until filled.
