Job summary

Commercial Metals LTD is seeking a warehouse/material handler in Texas to sort, stock and prepare customer orders. You will operate a forklift, handle diverse materials, and contribute to inventory checks and loading/unloading processes.

The role requires at least 1 year in construction/manufacturing, good communication, strong organization, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand long hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in construction and/or manufacturing.
• Strong communication with customers, employees and leaders.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Ability to work in outdoor/uncontrolled climate and elements.
• Able to operate hand tools.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials on racks according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required.
• Perform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in appropriate shipping/holding area.
• Assist in unloading and loading customers.
• Assist in performing inventory on materials.
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders.
• Maintain work area and location organized and clean for orderliness at all times.
• Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization

Your Education
