Job summary

CMC is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Alexandria, LA. You will sort and stock materials, operate a forklift, pick and pack orders, and assist with loading/unloading shipments. Maintain a clean, safe work area to ensure on-time deliveries.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in construction or manufacturing, can lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate effectively with team members. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in construction and/or manufacturing.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good communication and organization.
• Ability to work in uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials and items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required
• Perform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in appropriate shipping/holding area
• Assist in unloading and loading customers
• Assist in performing inventory on material
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders
• Maintain work area and location organized and clean for orderliness at all times
• Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization
