Job summary

CSS seeks a Supervisor - Operations to oversee multiple warehouse functions including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and related housekeeping. You will report to a Manager or Senior Manager Operations, train and coach associates, and manage multiple direct reports.

Qualifications

• 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience.
• 1 year experience leading warehouse associates.
• Ability to operate a forklift or obtain certification.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Ability to learn and use business planning systems.
• Resolve problems in a timely manner under stress.
• Comfortable working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee work assignments to meet inbound/outbound service requirements.
• Direct achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service, and safety.
• Monitor workflow, outputs, error rates, and related metrics; take corrective action.
• Ensure procedures are observed, implemented, and enforced.
• Verify quality/inspection processes; eliminate excess costs.
• Maintain safe working environment and follow safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate time, attendance, and performance records.
• Foster positive employee relations and morale; recommend performance actions.
• Help develop and document warehouse processes.
• Establish and monitor performance standards for warehouse functions (pick/pack/ship).
• Process returned merchandise.
• Develop and monitor equipment/assembly/housekeeping standards.
• Design and deliver training certification programs for warehouse staff.
