Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Reading, PA is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead production workers, ensure USPS compliance, and drive efficiency at the Presort Services facility. The role reports to the Operations Manager and offers a base salary around $60,000 with a 6% field bonus.

The position requires hands-on supervision, strong Excel/Access skills, and flexibility for varying shifts and schedules to meet postal deadlines and deliver value to clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in USPS-related areas (presort, mailroom)
• Minimum of 2-years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access along with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, internet, and Microsoft Outlook
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., or current maximum allowed by your State
• Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation
• Based on operational needs must be willing and able to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off and/or a different shift with limited or no advance notice

Responsibilities

• Manage the production workers on designated shift.
• Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.
• Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Oversees quality function throughout the production area.
• Assures TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are always followed.
• Assists Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations.
• Assures clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts.
• Offers suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, and motivation of employees.
• Be responsible for other duties as assigned.
