Job summary

Ross Stores seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to lead hourly teams in processing and distributing merchandise to stores. You will train, coach, and evaluate staff using MAP, ensure accuracy, and coordinate daily production against schedules in a fast-paced DC environment.

Qualifications

• Developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as organization/prioritization skills are necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively across multiple shifts/departments is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages hourly team to ensure timely and accurate processing and distribution of merchandise to stores
• Trains, coaches, and evaluates associates using MAP processes to meet standards
• Ensures rapid, accurate movement and processing of merchandise
• Organizes daily work orders and staffing to meet production goals
• Maintains accuracy/quality of work for Ross & Temp associates
• Fosters a productive team culture and issue-free environment
• Maintains relationships with Area Supervisors and HR, conducts daily huddles
• Leads training sessions on safety, policies, and new processes
• Enforces policies and conducts disciplinary meetings as needed
• Manages administrative tasks and hiring decisions for area
• Prepares evaluations and administers reviews with the merchandise manager
• Maintains daily timekeeping and production records
• Supports merchandise processors with paperwork and order troubleshooting
• Provides updates to the DC Merchandise Manager on planning and needs
• Works on special projects and participates in team events
