Job summary

Performance Team, an entity within Maersk, is seeking a full-time on-site Warehouse Operations Supervisor in Groveport, Ohio to oversee 20+ employees and maintain inventory accuracy. You will plan inbound/outbound schedules to meet customer metrics and manage payroll and staffing decisions.

The role emphasizes enforcing safety procedures, updating procedures, and ensuring effective communication with the warehouse team to support a reliable supply chain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of inventory adjustments (cycles, physicals, catch weight audits)
• Assist with Inventory Control; maintain inventory accuracy and supply areas
• Maintain computerized records of inventory
• Perform cycle counts; investigate variances; adjust inventory records
• Review inbound appointment log and open order report daily to plan work
• Plan inbound/outbound schedules to meet customer metrics
• Determine staffing needs based on workload; schedule staff accordingly
• Assign workers by workload and shipping schedules
• Review/update operational procedures; ensure clear communication to warehouse staff
• Track productivity and evaluate performance by person/department
• Collaborate with Inventory Control to maximize inventory accuracy
• Manage payroll of department
• Advise employees on handling of items received, stored, shipped; methods and equipment
• Trace item history to resolve discrepancies between inventory and records
• Determine work procedures; prepare schedules; expedite workflow
• Issue written and oral instructions
• Enforce proper safety procedures
• Maintain harmony; resolve grievances
• Position is full-time and on-site
