Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) Guam Distribution Center seeks a warehouse supervisor to oversee a stand-alone backup storage area or a specific DC operation, supervising a large team at NA-5.

You will plan schedules, assign tasks, ensure timely deliveries, maintain records, and coordinate with regional locations to ensure efficient loading and unloading operations while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• One year of warehousing experience including receiving, storing, and shipping.
• HazMat training within 90 days of hire per DOT regulations.
• Substitution of education for experience: one year of high school may substitute for 3 months of general experience.
• One year of warehousing experience including work that demonstrates ability to direct lower graded workers.

Responsibilities

• Plan work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates in assigned area.
• Establish deadlines and priorities based on schedules and policies.
• Ensure economical utilization and maintenance of the Motor Pool.
• Coordinate with locations to ensure timely deliveries and proper loading.
• Maintain records of dispatches, trips, drivers, vehicles, and shipments.
• Schedule and monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure trailers are sealed.
• Assist supervisor and oversee warehouse operations in absence of designated supervisor.
