Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) Guam Distribution Center seeks a working team leader to supervise three or more warehouse staff involved in receiving, storing, and shipping stock. You will ensure materials and tools are available and relay supervisor instructions to the crew.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, ensuring timely completion, enforcing safety rules, and supporting fleet maintenance. HazMat training within 90 days and 18 months warehousing experience are required.

Qualifications

• HazMat training within 90 days as required by DOT regulations.
• 18 months experience performing warehousing duties such as receiving, storing, and shipping or related tasks.
• Education substitution: 1 year of HS may be substituted for 3 months of experience, up to HS diploma/GED for 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead three or more warehouse personnel engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping stock and supplies.
• Ensure materials and tools are available and usable to complete work.
• Relay supervisor instructions and supervise the non-supervisory work at the same level.
• Monitor work progress, ensure compliance with instructions, and report status to supervisor.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping rules; oversee fleet maintenance programs and inspections.
• Operate forklift as required and support other related duties as assigned.
