Job summary

Md-Logistic is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Operations Supervisor in Indiana to lead a team, optimize receiving, storage and distribution for multiple clients. You will develop SOPs, manage staffing and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years’ experience, forklift certification, and strong Red Prairie or WMS knowledge. Expect a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri) 3:00pm–11:30pm with potential overtime and cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; College degree preferred; 5+ years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and good organizational and time management skills.
• Forklift certification or the ability to be certified is required.
• Strong Red Prairie experience is preferred or WMS equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage the appropriate staffing for efficient operations and adjust workload and labor resources to match workflow throughout the day.
• Train others in all aspects of processes, policies and procedures; monitor work execution and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Schedule transportation appointments with carriers, trucking companies and Freight Forwarders for pickups, deliveries and inbound returns.
• Review and assign shipping orders, picking documents or stock allocations to determine items to be processed and distributed.
• Record discrepancies and item counts; provide weights and measures for new items received into inventory.
• Audit order accuracy for packaging, labeling and staging for loading.
• Monitor and maintain inventory control; conduct monthly and ad hoc physical counts.
• Ensure precautions protect warehouse contents and align with safety culture and budgetary goals.
• Foster a safety culture and a continuous-improvement environment; contribute to department goals within budget.
• Discipline staff as required.
