Job summary

ID Logistics US in Joliet, IL, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee a warehouse team on the 2nd shift. You will assign tasks, coach staff, monitor performance, and report to management while ensuring safety and GMP compliance.

The on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. Compensation is $70,000–$75,000 plus bonus with benefits including PTO, sick time, holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. Compensation depends on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with some college coursework.
• 2+ years experience in a supervisor warehousing role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment for staff and temporary workers.
• Follow procedures for receiving, handling, and shipping materials; keep inventory current.
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
• Foster teamwork through clear communication with associates.
• Monitor attendance and timekeeping for staff and temps.
• Ensure daily safety compliance and investigate accidents.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and training as needed.
• Coordinate vacations, payroll, and time sheets for associates.
• Oversee 30-40 associates and maintain GMP for food-grade warehouse.

Position Overview

The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in managing their team's workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure safety and efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management. Supervisors are also responsible for coaching and resolving issues.

Compensation/Benefits

Attractive annual salary of $70,000 - 75,000 plus bonus with benefits including PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment for the customer's product, associates, and temporary workers.
• Follows established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Provides 100% customer satisfaction.
• Builds a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates.
• Helps maintain attendance and tardiness records.
• Monitors daily compliance with safety procedures.
• Investigates accidents and prepares reports.
• Provides on-the-job coaching and training needed to ensure associate skills are maintained at desired levels.
• Helps coordinate vacations, payroll, and time sheets for associates and temporary workers, complaints and associate concerns productivity and quality of work.
• Oversee 30-40 associates.
• Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food grade warehouse.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some college level study is required.
• 2+ years experience in a supervisor warehousing role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking a plus
• Microsoft Office Suites experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Lean six sigma experience a plus
• Inventory experience a plus
• Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus
