What You Will Be Doing

Supervises warehouse shipping and receiving activities and associates for a specific shift/area to ensure functions are performed within company and distribution center guidelines. Provides excellent customer service to stores through accurate handling of inbound and outbound products. Promotes safety awareness and supports safety initiatives.

The position is based in Wells, ME.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitors workplace activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Inspects work areas daily to identify and address safety hazards.
• Implements safety policies to reduce accidents and prevent losses.
• Participates in ergonomic assessments and promotes ergonomic awareness.
• Trains and coaches employees on safety and compliance topics.
• Conducts investigations of workplace accidents and recommends preventive measures.
• Schedules and supervises shipping/receiving associates.
• Ensures accuracy of shipments and receipts using proper systems.
• Maintains daily production and accuracy records.
• Processes store returns and vendor returns per company policies.
• Coordinates with inventory control regarding product placement and space allocation.
• Conducts daily team meetings on safety, productivity, and accuracy.
• Communicates with transportation regarding backhaul flow and receipt.
• Supervises inbound load scheduling.
• Manages inbound deliveries, signing for and distributing shipments.
• Conducts daily warehouse inspections for safety, security, sanitation, and pest control.
• Ensures optimal use of equipment and personnel.
• Develops and maintains good interdepartmental relationships.

Candidate Profile

• Knowledge of warehousing operations with supervisory experience, preferably with Albertsons.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical skills for administrative tasks and safety compliance.
• Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
