DIVISION: U.S. AutoForce

POSITION SUMMARY

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships.

The schedule for this position is: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 pm - 3:30 am or until the job is complete. Work 4 ten-hour shifts and get Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Oversee and supervise a work group to meet department goals.
  2. Provide leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication. Provide measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance, and recognition for achievements.
  3. Conduct interviews, hiring, and training as necessary.
  4. Support safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
  5. Assist with process improvement initiatives.
  6. Conduct regular meetings to ensure personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforce productivity standards.
  7. Ensure excellent customer service and communication.
  8. Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately; stock products correctly.
  9. Loading: Pick product for daily and special deliveries; load trucks using good judgment regarding space and product safety.
  10. Returns: Inspect and count returned merchandise; restock inventory; handle outbound freight of vendor returns; manage warranty paperwork; unload transfers from warehouses.
  11. Operate power equipment, including a forklift.
  12. May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and occasionally lifting up to 80 pounds. Handling tires over 70 pounds is required.
  • Protective equipment includes steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, and SRL, provided by U.S. AutoForce except for boots.
  • Work environment may expose employees to weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and fumes from tires, car parts, and lubricants.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to supervise assistants and helpers.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
  • Good memory and scanning skills.
  • Strong communication and math skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. with equipment and climb 20 feet regularly.
  • Ability to learn to operate a forklift.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with company driver policy may be required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test (excluding THC/marijuana).
