Job description

Line of Business: Aggregates Production Supervisor reporting to Plant Manager at Geneva, NY

The Production Supervisor role is based in Geneva, NY, and reports directly to the Plant Manager. This plant has both a Quarry and HMA Plant.

What you’ll get to do

1. Plan and schedule plant production to maximize productivity and optimize the utilization of manpower, resources, and equipment
2. Supervise and direct production crews, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, as well as setting daily, weekly, and annual performance objectives
3. Report daily production and track KPIs of plant performance
4. Ensure material production meets quality control standards
5. Assist in accessing and optimizing the usage of existing reserves
6. Schedule plant and mobile repair and maintenance internally and with outside vendors
7. Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained for the efficiency of the plant at all times
8. Promote safe work habits and provide safe working conditions – lead daily tailgate meetings, ensure job tasks are completed as per procedures, and demonstrate leadership towards all safety policies

Essential Experience and Skills

• At least 5 years of work experience in aggregate production or a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a related industry
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and respectfully
• Ability to maintain composure and professionally present information and respond to questions from others

• Motivation and ability that align with a fluctuating work environment, including shift schedules, moving throughout the plant, and occasionally lifting heavy objects or working in confined spaces

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Working knowledge of aggregate production equipment and processes
• Analytical skills and comfort with using data for decision-making

• Experience working in project teams
• Experience in union and non-union environments
• Capability and desire to become a plant manager in the future
• Working knowledge of HMA Plants

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.

Salary Range: $66,880 - $89,180
