Job summary

S&S Activewear is a leading North American, tech-enabled distributor seeking a Safety Specialist to uphold a proactive safety culture in its Fort Worth warehouse. You will work with operations leadership to ensure OSHA compliance, investigate incidents, and train staff, while promoting 6S and continuous safety improvements.

The role requires a bachelor’s in safety or related field, 3–5 years in a warehouse setting, and strong communication skills to coordinate with teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in occupational health & safety or related field.
• GSP or ASP preferred.
• 3–5 years of warehouse experience.
• Strong attention to detail and observation.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 6S knowledge preferred.
• Ability to create and deliver safety training.
• Leadership with team motivation and feedback.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains policies, SOPs and safety guidelines to prevent injuries and ensure compliance.
• Analyze safety data for trends and communicate with leadership.
• Perform incident investigations for all incidents and near misses.
• Review and manage workers’ compensation case management.
• Conduct safety inspections and safety observations.
• Provide comprehensive safety training to new and existing employees.
• Keep management informed about changes in safety regulations and programs.
• Assist operations with safety improvement projects and evaluate compliance.
• Implement and oversee 6S in all warehouse areas.
• Develop safety initiative plans and coordinate safety committee activities.
