Senior Safety Manager

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $115,000-$120,000 DOE

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Safety Manager on behalf of a leading eCommerce and distribution organization in the Santa Fe Springs area. This position is responsible for leading all safety initiatives within a large-scale warehouse operation while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and promoting a culture of safety throughout the facility. Reporting into operational leadership, this individual will oversee a team of safety professionals and play a key role in evaluating, improving, and transforming safety programs, policies, and procedures. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a hands‑on safety professional who thrives in fast‑paced distribution and fulfillment environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all facility safety programs and initiatives across a large distribution and warehouse operation
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, electrical safety standards, machine guarding requirements, and Lockout/Tagout programs
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Analyze safety metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements and risk reduction
  • Drive safety culture initiatives and employee engagement programs
  • Evaluate existing safety programs and recommend enhancements to improve compliance and operational effectiveness
  • Partner closely with leadership and operations teams to support business objectives while maintaining a safe work environment
  • Lead and mentor a team of safety professionals
  • Manage corrective action programs and ensure timely resolution of identified safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reporting, and regulatory records
  • Support flexible operational schedules as needed to meet business and safety requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
Required
  • 7+ years of Safety Management experience within warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, logistics, or eCommerce environments
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Experience supporting large-scale operations with employee populations exceeding 2,000 employees
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Extensive experience with Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, electrical safety, and forklift safety programs
  • Proven ability to evaluate, improve, and transform safety policies, procedures, and programs
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, and root cause analysis
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
  • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
  • Experience leading safety transformation initiatives within high-volume distribution or fulfillment operations
  • Previous experience managing direct reports
