Job Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is a vital leader responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, and team performance to support our multi-family and commercial clients. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll manage a team of Warehouse Specialists, coordinate daily operations, and collaborate with Purchasing Specialists, Service Coordinators, and Project Managers to maintain stock readiness and delivery timelines. This role is essential to enabling seamless service and sales operations through reliable warehouse execution. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Daily Warehouse Operations
- Schedule staff shifts to manage workload—e.g., assigning picking tasks for orders and managing peak hours for efficiency.
- Monitor workflow efficiency to ensure speed—e.g., tracking order processing times and ensuring packing accuracy for delivery.
Manage Inventory Control
- Track inventory levels to maintain stock—e.g., conducting counts for accuracy and updating ERP records for real-time data.
- Organize storage to optimize access—e.g., arranging shelves for quick retrieval and optimizing space for new items.
Lead Warehouse Team Performance
- Train staff to enhance skills—e.g., teaching keying techniques for products and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Set productivity goals to drive output—e.g., targeting order completion rates and reducing errors for quality.
Coordinate Order Fulfillment and Returns
- Oversee order picking for accuracy—e.g., verifying ERP lists for correctness and checking shipments for readiness.
- Manage returns to restock efficiently—e.g., inspecting returned items for condition and restocking usable goods for resale.
Ensure Warehouse Safety and Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols to protect staff—e.g., training on lift operations and inspecting hazards for prevention.
- Maintain compliance with regulations—e.g., adhering to OSHA standards and documenting safety checks for audits.
Drive Operational Improvements
- Analyze workflow data to boost performance—e.g., reviewing pick times for speed and identifying delays for fixes.
- Implement upgrades to enhance operations—e.g., adding shelving for storage and testing tools for efficiency.
Qualifications:
Experience
- 3+ years in warehouse management or logistics—demonstrated ability to oversee inventory, fulfillment, and team operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven team leadership skills—e.g., managing 5+ warehouse staff to achieve daily order and inventory goals with accuracy.
- Experience in the security access and hardware industry a plus—familiarity with access solution products enhances inventory management.
- Familiarity with NetSuite (ERP/CRM), Shopify, RingCentral, Intercom, and Microsoft Office 365—proficiency expected, with ERP experience a plus for inventory and order tracking.
