Job summary

POOLCORP offers an entry-level Management in Training - Operations (MIT) program, based in our distribution warehouse, designed to develop future operations leaders nationwide. You will gain hands-on exposure across operations, management, and purchasing while completing structured training and shadowing experienced staff.

The program lasts six months with guidance and resources, including classroom training at EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA is required.
Willingness to relocate during and after the program (company expense).
Ability to travel 25% of the time.
Experience in leadership or problem-solving roles is required.
Interest in working in a distribution warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management and Purchasing.
Observe experienced staff to learn methods and performance standards.
Shadow contractors, service/maintenance, and retail customers to understand the pool irrigation and landscaping business.
Participate in classroom sessions at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, TX on operations, leadership and systems.
Deliver a final presentation to senior management on program completion.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
