Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking candidates for the Management in Training – Operations (MIT) program. This entry-level, hands-on program operates from our distribution warehouse and leads toward Operations Supervisor or Manager roles nationwide.

Participants receive six months of guided learning across the pool supply, irrigation and landscape distribution sectors, with state-of-the-art classroom and on-site training, followed by relocation support for career progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related field with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience in work, internship, club, volunteer, athletics or military leadership.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training in Operations, Management and Purchasing within a distribution center.
• Observe experienced staff to learn methods and performance standards for the sales center.
• Shadow contractors, service/maintenance and store customers to learn the industry aspects.
• Attend classroom training at EDGEucation Center in Plano, TX on operations, finances, leadership and operating systems.
• Deliver a comprehensive final presentation to senior management after completing the program.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
