Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking high-potential individuals for the Management in Training - Operations (MIT) Program. Based in our Lenexa, KS or Wichita, KS distribution centers, you’ll receive six months of hands-on training across Operations, Management and Purchasing, with exposure to the swimming pool supply, irrigation and landscape distribution industries.

Graduates may advance to Operations Supervisor or Manager nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related discipline with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership and/or problem-solving experience in a distribution or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management and Purchasing within the distribution center.
• Shadow contractors, service/maintenance and retail store customers to learn operations in pool, irrigation and landscape distribution.
• Participate in classroom training at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, TX, covering operations, leadership and systems; present final project to senior management.
